Weight Bias & Stigma in Fertility Care

A developing mixed methods research initiative examining body weight, fertility treatment access, and patient experiences within reproductive medicine. This work explores how BMI-based policies and communication practices may shape access to fertility care, healthcare experiences, and treatment decision-making among patients seeking reproductive care.

Project Development:

WHRAC is currently developing the study methodology, interview guides, and data collection framework for this project. The research team is exploring multiple quantitative and qualitative approaches to better understand the intersection of weight, stigma, and fertility care access in the United States.
