Advocacy
WHRAC’s advocacy work centers the lived experiences of patients and uses research, storytelling, and trauma-informed practices to improve reproductive health care. We focus on creating safer clinical environments, expanding access to fertility and gynecologic care, and elevating the voices of those most affected.

Safe Waiting Spaces
WHRAC’s Safe Waiting Spaces patient advocacy project aims to transform the waiting-room experience for people receiving reproductive health care—especially those navigating infertility, pregnancy loss, or other experiences that can make traditional waiting rooms feel emotionally unsafe.
Rooted in trauma-informed design and patient-centered research, this initiative focuses on creating clinical environments that reduce stress, honor privacy, and support emotional well-being. We are currently refining the model and hope to pilot Safe Waiting Spaces with a Houston-based clinic in 2026.
